Specializing in finance and investment banking
About Bruce Klein
I spent 28 years in the Investment Banking world, most recently as Head of High Yield Credit Research at Credit Suisse. I started my career on Wall Street in 1987 after receiving an MBA in Finance from Fordham University. I then spent 11 years at Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette (DLJ), as a research analyst. Following that, I worked for 16 years at Credit Suisse as a Managing Director, covering several industries as a high yield bond analyst and becoming Head of High yield credit research. While at Credit Suisse, I also sat on several committees, including the Managing Directors admitting committee. I also ran the Summer internship program for research analysts, and conducted countless candidate interviews. Additionally, in 2011, I was voted into the Institutional Investor Magazine’s All Star Hall of Fame for high yield research analysts, having achieved a record 17 consecutive annual rankings.

Philosophy
My approach is a private and customized one-on-one coaching/tutoring process with instant feedback and open Q&A. I tailor sessions to meet my client’s needs at whatever level they are starting from. In today’s busy, ever changing, stressful, and competitive Wall Street environment, I believe that students/young professionals will benefit from the support of a seasoned Wall Street professional who will teach, guide, and mentor them. I specialize in converting student’s academic background to the “real investment world”. We also know that knowledge reduces stress and improves performance, particularly during the interview process. After spending 28 years in the investment world, including 5 years as head of the Credit Suisse high yield research department, I believe my skill set uniquely qualifies me to coach students/professionals who are interested in pursuing Finance/Investment banking careers.
I am flexible with my hours and can meet in person or via Skype. Coaching can be structured as individual sessions or packages. A “boot camp/crash course” approach can also be easily structured to meet your needs. A professional “best practices” process is always followed.
Students or professionals who have secured finance jobs, but want coaching in order to “hit the ground running” with tangible “real world” financial modeling and other skills under their belt, should consider our coaching services as well.
